The Excellent Horse Snuffle Mat was developed to challenge horses and ponies! This mat stimulates horses' natural foraging behaviour (snuffling behaviour), as they have to make an effort to eat all the treats from the mat. It is ideal for preventing boredom or for rewarding horses in a playful way. The mat is made of soft silicone, making it suitable even for sensitive horse noses.
Instructions for use
Lay the snuffle mat on a flat surface (e.g., in the stable, in the trailer, or in the paddock) and fill it with treats, such as mash, pellets, muesli, or pieces of fruit or vegetables. After use, the mat can easily be hung up (e.g., with a carabiner), thanks to the hole in the corner, so that the mat can be rinsed off and air-dried.
